1/2 cup bacon, diced
2 cups water
1 pint fresh octopus, steamed until tender
2 cups steamed rice, slightly undercooked
1 lb. tomatoes
1 can okra
1/2 cup onions, diced
1 green pepper, diced
1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper
1/2 cup celery, diced
salt and pepper to taste
bacon in water for 15 minutes, then add the rest of the ingredients.
Simmer together for 10 minutes. Serve with warm cornbread.
