930. ROASTED CASSAVA FLOUR with BACON

serves 10


165 grams diced bacon
a few slices of Portuguese sausage
1 onion, chopped
2 bananas, sliced
500 grams cassava flour

In a large frying pan, fry the bacon and the sausage slices over a low heat until crisp. Add the onion and fry until they are slightly browned. Add the bananas and fry for another minute. Then add the cassava flour and stir-fry. The consistency should be like a crumble topping. Add salt and pepper to taste if desired.

591. ROASTED CASSAVA FLOUR with BACON and PORTUGUESE SAUSAGE

a.k.a. Farofa

serves 10


165 g diced bacon
a few slices of Portuguese sausage
1 onion, chopped
2 bananas (optional), sliced
500 g cassava flour

In a large frying pan, fry the bacon and the sausage slices over a low heat until crisp. Add the onion and fry until they are slightly browned. Add the bananas and fry for another minute. Then add the cassava flour and stir-fry. The consistency should be like a crumble topping. Add salt and pepper to taste if desired.
