12 sardines1 cup (16 tablespoons) cooked ham, chopped
2 tablespoons chopped sweet pickles
1 teaspoon prepared mustard
1 teaspoon ketchup
1 teaspoon lemon juice
12 slices of bread
2 tablespoons lettuce, shredded
1 tablespoon mayonnaise
12 slices of bacon, broiled
skin and bones from sardines; chop with ham and pickles. Add mustard,
ketchup, and lemon juice; mix well. Spread on 6 slices buttered bread.
Sprinkle with lettuce; dot with mayonnaise. Arrange 2 slices bacon on
each sandwich; top with another slice buttered bread.
