makes 6 servings
16 oz. (1/2 of 32-oz. pkg.) frozen french fried potatoes
8 slices bacon, cooked, cut into small pieces
1 cup shredded Cheddar cheese
1/4 cup green onion slices
Cook french fries as directed on package; place on ovenproof dish or platter. Preheat broiler. Sprinkle fries with bacon, cheese and onions. Broil, 4 to 6 inches from heat, 1 to 2 minutes or until cheese is melted.

Summer is a perfect time to indulge. Winter is a perfect time to indulge. All seasons, in fact, are a perfect time to indulge. Is it true that diets will come and go, but the taste of a memorable meal will linger forever in our minds? Or is it the other way around? M.F.K. Fisher might have some things to say on the subject.
